About Us

Picture Shack Entertainment is a full-service production company based in New York City, owned by George Plamondon and Betsy Schechter.

Picture Shack produces/has produced several series including National Geographic’s Abandoned, OWN’s Staten Island Law, Discovery ID’s Most Likely To..., A&E’s Paranormal State (five seasons) and Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal (three seasons), Animal Planet’s Saved and The Haunted, and others.

In its scripted television efforts, Picture Shack produced Warren the Ape, a comedy documenting the life of a down-and-out puppet for MTV. Past scripted efforts by Betsy and George include movies for CBS, NBC and the independent film Scrapple.

Additionally, Picture Shack has had great success with its advertising and branded division. PSE produced and helped create the national commercial campaign for Match.com; since early 2010, the company has brought more than 140 commercial spots to market, helping increase Match’s business to record levels. In addition, Picture Shack produced a scripted online short for iPAD and Glamour Magazine, which stars Kristen Chenoweth. Also for Glamour, PSE produced the online series Glamour Girls, co-sponsored by the Gap.
